The vision of the Department of Trade and Industry and Competition (the dtic) is “a dynamic industrial, globally competitive South African economy, characterised by meaningful economic transformation, inclusive growth and development, decent employment and equity, built on the full potential of all citizens”.
The development and promotion of the South African Technical/Quality Infrastructure forms part of the programmes of the dtic aimed at fulfilling this vision. The co-ordination and alignment of the contributions of government departments, state entities, the private sector and civil society in the Technical/Quality Infrastructure domain contributes to effect economic development.
